It would really be interesting to see research on LDR that relay or build from regular correspondences. I got a penpal, and while there is a crazy amount of other elements that make us compatible, I had always been curious to how much the correspondences had impacted. I understand that some can build very strong connections cause there is the chance to be open and honest and review what you send, then blurt it out. but Yes! I save and reread elements connected to important events and I'm not wondering how much that has to do with that being a way for me to revisit that memory in a more concreate way, similar to what ppl would experience when they rewatch memories.
