anyone with tetrachromacy?

just curious if theres any correlation.. tetrachromacy is an additional 4 th colour cone in the eye which makes you able to see a broader range of colours than most people. if you’ve never thought about it theres plenty of simple tests online. interesting that i can see more colours in the real world yet have mind blindness. interesting that i’m an artist. ty!

Hello, I saw this and did one of the online tests and it said I did... so I did a few more tests to make sure. I actually do art too and paint with lots of colors and people do not understand why color comes so easy for me. With aphantasia, this makes it weirder since I can "visualize" colors and mix them to create the specific color I want. I do not "see" anything when I think but I know that I am "seeing" it, it's hard to explain. It is like someone explaining something to you with lots of details and you automatically know what they are talking about and could copy down what they are talking about, if that makes sense.

This is funny... I read your message and immediately looked for an online test. The first one I clicked on depended on visual memory.  ie, Is this the first time this color has been shown on this test or have you seen it before.  Haha
